Fidelity Investments Only Allow Gambling With Client Money

Although the unemployment rate is reported to be marginally better, your employer will no doubt still fire your ass for no reason at all. Take the example of four employees at Fidelity Investments who were fired for being in a fantasy football league. The company took notice of this and immediately let the four employees go even though supposedly none of the employees used company time to manage their team (which was probably a lie, but that’s beside the point).
When asked about this issue, the Boston-based mutual fund company responded:
Participation in any form of gambling through the use of Fidelity time or equipment or any other company resource is prohibited. We want our employees to be focused on our customers and clients.
Of course, luring clients to your underperforming funds and gambling with their money is ok and even encouraged by Fidelity. When it comes to gambling with your own money, that’s a big no no.

May or may not be the three guys who were fired

Isn’t that Tiger’s new sponsor?
Thank you, I’ll be here all week. Try the veal.
